Day to Day Work
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the month end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring transactions are in accordance with GAAP and internal policies and procedures are followed and communicate exceptions to management.
- Assist the SSC accounting manager to identify issues and propose solutions.
- General accounting responsibilities, including journal entries, account reconciliations and accruals. Preparation of monthly account analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests.
- Assist in documentation of processes and procedures.
Technical & Behavioral Skills
Skills Required:
- The position requires 1-3 years of solid accounting experience combined with analytical skills. The candidate will need to possess problem solving skills, work ethic, organizational skills, attention to detail, decision making skills, and ability to work with others.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative and investigative skills.
- Must have the ability to prioritize workload and perform multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to relate to all levels of management.
- Must be a self-starter requiring little supervision or direction.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
