Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree in the required teaching field, two years of teaching experience, and possession of a valid North Dakota Teaching Certificate. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of educational methods and techniques, as well as demonstrate good communication skills, adeptness at working effectively with incarcerated adults on a daily basis and ability to function well as a team member. Must be able to successfully complete an interview, standard background and criminal record check.

Summary of Work
Specific duties include preparing students in the academic skills needed for obtaining a GED certificate; administering, scoring, and evaluating competency exams to determine level of ability and need; participating in calendar, program, and curriculum evaluation and development; participating in staff meetings, in-service, and other required meetings; providing input into the development of individual education plans; preparing and maintaining reports as required.
