The EAP Counselor provides services to meet the psychosocial needs of employees, spouses and family members covered under the St. Alexius Employee Assistance Program. Also provides other services to business and industry to assist them in reaching optimal level of productivity. Will collaborate with primary care providers, referring physicians, and collaborates with the Chair of Department of Psychiatry or designee as necessary. This collaboration may occur telephonically, electronically or on possess Master s Degree in Social Work, Counseling and Guidance or related field from a college or university, or a BS Degree and 25 years of clinical practice.Licensure:Credential as a Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Addiction Counselor.
Experience:Must have 4 years post-graduate experience providing direct service including, but not limited to, marital/family, individual and group therapies.Skills:1. Has superior knowledge base of clinical skills. 2. Understands dynamics of individual, couple and family functioning. 3. Has interest in marketing and promotional aspects of EAP process. 4. Interested in providing training and educational seminars to employee groups. 5. Willing to travel to a minimum of one satellite location per month. 6. Is creative and flexible in scheduling to meet demands of Skills:1. Relates well with clients, spouses and family members in the clinical setting.2. Relates well with EAP clinical and support staff. 3. Relates well with other Mental Health Services staff 4. Enjoys working with public and speaking with public. 5. Understands and maintains all policies regarding confidentiality. 6. Relates well to representatives from EAP Employer Groups.Physical Effort:Medium: Involves a maximum physical effort of 50 lbs. Hearing - perceiving nature of sounds by ear. It is important to this position that the worker s activities require ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make fine discrimination of the spoken word. Seeing - the ability to perceive the nature of objects by the eye. Seeing is important to this position because of activities contingent on production. The functions need special and minute accuracy with recall and sorting. Talking - expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word. It is important for those activities in which the worker must impart oral information to other office staff and customers or the public. These activities must convey detailed and important spoken instructions accurately, loudly and quickly.Hours of Work:Variable, may involve two evenings per week (Monday through Thursday).Other:Works under the following conditions: o Potential exposure to mechanical, chemical, electrical and infectious environmental hazards. o Able to respond and perform effectively if any unforeseen immediate job related need arises. o Able to respond in stressful situations. o Able to respond in a hospital or departmental related emergency.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
