Job Description
The Auditor II conducts comprehensive and practical programs of compliance in operational, contractual, financial, and technical areas within Basin Electric Power Cooperative (BEPC) and all its subsidiaries and makes recommendations to improve operations, reduce costs, and enhance revenue opportunities within Basin's portfolio. The incumbent is familiar with standard auditing concepts, practices and procedures.
Required Skills
This position requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking; and occasional climbing, kneeling, reaching and lifting up to 25 pounds. The ability to read, write, comprehend, analyze data and reports, conduct research, implement recommendations, develop plans, procedures and goals, and present information to others are required. Frequent use of keyboard/computer, good finger dexterity and the ability to perform close work are required. Job activities are performed in an office environment.
Required Experience
Required: Bachelor s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering or other related field of study and four years of auditing, accounting or other related experience. Familiar with business systems and audit techniques. Must know Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) concepts. Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong analytical skills. Personal computer experience. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Travel required.
Preferred:CPA or CIA or similar credentials.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
