Job Description
The Lead Settlements Analyst is responsible for taking a lead role in the integration into the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) and is responsible for energy and transmission market settlement calculation functions including understanding and utilizing current market rules and complex settlement calculations to accurately perform the ISO calculations and recognizing and filing disputes and supporting documentation with the appropriate ISO s as necessary.
Required Skills
This position requires continuous sitting and use of keyboard/computer; occasional stooping/bending, climbing stairs, and reaching/lifting up to 25 pounds. Finger dexterity, good vision and hearing, and the ability to perform close work are required. Must be able to analyze data and reports, conduct research, implement recommendation, and present information to others. Requires the ability to develop plans, procedures, and goals, and occasionally work under pressure.
Required Experience
Required: A Bachelor s Degree in Business, Accounting or Mathematics and eight years of utility energy accounting/billing or settlement related experience. Knowledge in accounting and/or business theory and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Computer skills in Excel and strong interpersonal skills.
Preferred: Electric market operation and knowledge of ISO markets. Knowledge of Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
