Hiring Range: $19.03 -- $21.20 PER HOUR
Minimum Qualifications
Eligibility Worker II requires a high school diploma or GED and two years of work experience determining eligibility in a social service office in one of the following Economic Assistance Programs: TANF, SNAP, Foster Care, Health Care Coverage Program, or LIHEAP, PLUS one of the following:
Three years of work experience in the clerical, accounting, financial, legal or teaching fields;
Three years of a bachelor's degree program (90 semester hours or 135 quarter hours);
Three years combined education and experience as listed above; or
Completion of the Eligibility Worker Certificate Program offered at Bismarck State College or formerly offered at Lake Region State College and one year as an Eligibility Worker I.
Computer literacy and regular attendance is required. A high level of verbal and written communication skills is also required.

Summary of Work
Determine initial and continued eligibility for a small generic caseload consisting of a variety of Economic Assistance Programs
Perform lead worker duties for assigned Eligibility Workers such as responding to or researching questions concerning program and computer system policies and procedures
Complete case reviews
Assist and support staff with court or appeal hearings
Assist with identifying training needs and training of staff
Provide input for staff evaluations
Provide for and/or arrange back-up coverage for staff absences
Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or County Director
