Summary of Work
The human relations counselor is an integral part of the treatment program within the institution. The human relations counselor is a primary counselor to an incarcerated individual. This position will provide case management, crisis intervention and group therapeutic counseling services to offenders. These services include the assessment and treatment of complex cases such as emotional and behavioral disorders along with follow up treatment planning and documentation.
The work involves counseling, teaching, coordination of services and participation with other disciplines.
