Summary:/
This position will be responsible for day to day operation of the assembly for their assigned production area, ensuring a smooth flow of product, participating in day to day assembly job duties, and assisting the supervisor in a wide range of departmental functions for a variety of projects for our military clients.
Essential Functions:

Work with operations supervisor to ensure implementation of new strategies and initiatives to effectively meet or exceed these requirements as well as customer expectations.
Productivity Observation
May provide on-the-job training to new and current team members.
Problem Solving- May need to investigate or explore issues to gain access to the root cause of a problem so that they may resolve it.
Writing and Defining a Process- Is responsible for helping to Lean out a process and work flow for a project or task.
Work Flow-Participate and direct team in Lean warehousing system on the floor. Demonstrates process knowledge, leadership skills and customer service

Communication
Quality Control-Maintain equipment and property: report all damages to management immediately
Housekeeping-Responsible for 5s and general housekeeping of designated areas.
Participate in start-up activities with cross functional team
Measure and report productivity for functional area
Ensure all verifications of errors are done in a timely manner

High School Diploma or Equivalent (desired).

Individual must be able to read and comprehend English to understand work instructions and must have the ability to work well with others with little supervision.
Ability to count and verify part numbers
Must understand Lean Theory & Processes
Intermediate PC skills - Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Outlook / Excel / Word / Power point)

0-2 years professional experience. Previous assembly/production experience desired .
