Hiring Range: $3,675 - $4,900 per month
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree and one year of professional work experience in the child support, business, or human services field; or in program/project development, coordination, and compliance. _(Program/project development, coordination or compliance must be detailed on the job duties portion of the application or in the resume)_.
A master's degree will substitute for the work experience requirement. Additional work experience in these areas may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Summary of Work
The State Parent Locator is responsible for:
administering the State Parent Locator Service (SPLS), a unit within the Child Support program;
supervising SPLS staff at two locations;
directing statewide locate efforts, including establishing processes, procedures, and forms;
assisting with developing new locate sources and, as appropriate, their automation;
identifying training needs and, based upon these needs, providing training and assistance to child support staff;
monitoring efficiency and effectiveness of statewide locate efforts, and developing recommendations and plans of action to address any needs; and
performing locate activities on an assigned locate caseload and performing specialized locate-related activities for cases identified as particularly difficult or complex.
The SPLS performs locate activities on an assigned locate caseload and on specialized locate requests. This includes finding individuals' addresses, employers, income, or assets. Duties of the SPLS are investigative in nature and require accessing confidential databases as well as contacting other agencies to obtain information.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
