Job Description
This position supports the short-term power supply position management which includes generation coordination, scheduling, natural gas position management, RTO position management and development of short-term trading requirements for Basin Electric Power Cooperative (BEPC) and its members in conjunction with the existing short-term traders.
Required Skills
This position requires the ability to read, write, comprehend, analyze data and reports, conduct contract related research, implement recommendations, negotiate with others, develop plans, procedures and goals, and present information to others. Job activities are performed in an office environment with a typical trade floor layout that lacks the traditional privacy that a cube or office provides. Use of keyboard/computer, good finger dexterity and the ability to perform close work are required. This position requires frequent sitting, standing and walking; occasional climbing, kneeling, reaching and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Required Experience
Required:Four year degree in Business Administration, Economics or Engineering and 1 year of business experience, preferably in trading or marketing power and natural gas; OR two year degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Engineering and 3 years of business experience, preferably in trading or marketing power and natural gas; OR 5 years of experience in trading or marketing power and natural gas. Knowledge of business practices and procedures and a technical knowledge in a wide range of business functions; basic understanding of power generation, transmission systems, control area operations, marketing pools, natural gas markets, pipeline scheduling and management, natural gas storage, economic principles and econometric methods. Good oral and written communication skills, as well as, computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
