Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and four years of work experience in administrative duties that provided information and services to customers. Formal education in an accredited business or secretarial program may be substituted for up to two years of the work experience requirement on a year-for-year basis.
At least one year of work experience supporting one or more functions of a comprehensive employee benefits program.
Personal computer experience with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Work experience interpreting and explaining provisions and policies or rules of employee benefit programs.
Work experience with data base record retrieval and research.

Summary of Work
Provide courteous, prompt and accurate responses to NDPERS members' telephone, online and e-mail inquiries or transfer call to appropriate staff.
Document and maintain tickets on all member contacts.
Greet members and direct to appropriate staff.
Access data base records and interpret the information to respond to inquiries.
Assess member needs and research and respond to member inquiries by phone and written correspondence.
Maintain working knowledge of all benefit plans administered by PERS and all agency policies and rules.
Audit member database records for accuracy.
Must work independently and produce accurate results.
