Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree with a major in accounting and three years of professional accounting and/or auditing experience. Applicants who are in their final semester of schooling are eligible to apply if they meet the three years of professional accounting and/or auditing experience.
Requires satisfactory completion of the interview process and a verifiable record of satisfactory performance in previous employment.

Summary of Work
1. Conduct department wide fraud risk assessment and update on annual basis. Approximately 40 percent of time will be spent on this duty.
2. Create and maintain documentation of all department internal control procedures. Assess controls annually to ensure the controls are in place and working as intended. Design and oversee implementation of internal controls to mitigate fraud risk exposure. Approximately 20 percent of time will be spent on this duty.
3. Coordinate resolution of audit and program review findings. Approximately 15 percent of time will be spent on this duty.
4. Monitor grant compliance requirements. Design and coordinate the implementation of procedures to meet compliance requirements. Provide technical expertise and training to department grant managers. Approximately 20 percent of time will be spent on this duty.
5. Research and provide technical expertise and training on general accounting issues. Approximately 5 percent of time will be spent on this duty.
