Summary:
This position focuses on data analysis and the development & recommendation of either transportation-oriented or warehouse-oriented (or both) process improvements, solution design and/or cost savings opportunities within supply chain management with a focus on supply chain as it relates to transportation and/or warehouse costs.
The position requires knowledge of transportation analysis and planning and/or warehouse process analysis to develop creative, yet implementable, solutions to our customer's day to day problems. This position will help lead change using a process oriented, data driven, and customer focused approach. The successful candidate will be team oriented with strong organization skills and the ability to support multiple tasks.
Essential Functions:
Collects and analyzes data for modeling, network optimization and/or supply chain redesign purposes as a result of new business opportunities or existing customer requests.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and multi-task responsibilities
Attending weekly meetings to keep functional leads updated on current projects and timelines associated
Fully and accurately define consumer products supply chain requirements and solution approach while ensuring the gathering of accurate information and performing detailed solution design. Leverage, share and build Menlo's knowledge of the consumer products market.
Strong systems aptitude and must be proficient and able to perform various analyses in Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access
Daily interaction with internal and external customers is required to ensure expectations are being met.
Interaction with Management to review metrics and discuss opportunities is also required.
Maintain documentation of processes that are followed by the department. Prepare documentation pertaining to account requirements and update as needed to meet changes in customer requirements, and/or changes in processes defined by Menlo Worldwide.
Scope and Accountability:
Applies principals, concepts, practices and standards of a professional field to complete a variety of on-going assignments an projects. Analyzes quantitative information and applies professional judgment to resolve a variety of issues. Impacts team effectiveness through responsibility for the quality of own work and potentially the work of others. The Engineering team produces three major deliverables in support of the account's SMART targets: savings project identification, supply chain analysis and design, and business case creation. Once alignment and sign-off are achieved, a smooth hand-off to the implementation team is required.

Summary:
Provides process and facility design for physical operations and distribution sites inclusive of multiple value add services (production, light assembly/manufacturing); Establish and maintain plant and work area layouts. Performs a variety of assignments in work measurement for the establishment and maintenance of engineered company standards. Provide adequate training to operations managers on standardized pace and productivity issues. Utilizes productivity standards to plan staffing and labor management for all work activities within the facility; Verifies required to run versus engineering standards. Plans and monitors utilization of production and distribution facilities and personnel in departments or other subdivisions of an establishment. Plans equipment layout, workflow, and accident prevention measures to maintain efficient and safe utilization of plant facilities. Plans and oversees work study and training programs to promote efficient personnel utilization. (30/60/90 reviews & Lean training); Works closely with other engineering disciplines including technology in the development and application of methodologies, SOP's and (SWI) standard work instructions to assist with increase of production quality, efficiency or volume throughput. Identifies initiates and implements continuous process improvement projects to increase efficiency. Provides greenfield and conceptual solutions in support of new business opportunities.
Essential Functions:
Participate and lead Lean Kaizen activity to create and improve company standards
Design customer facilities in support of client Requests for Proposal (RFP). Participate in the response process to deliver value add, comprehensive and competitive solutions to clients.
Perform facility sizing and slotting analyses to accurate determine facility layout, storage medium, and level of automation.
Perform various analyses utilizing MS Access and Excel. Understand the use of optimization/decision support tools to perform facility sizing, slotting and staffing.
Interface as required with the operations, client and various internal and external cross functional groups (including contractors and vendors).
Participate/provide info to customer in quarterly business reviews.
Support new business activity and changes of scope.
Develop value-added approach to operational challenges employing analysis, innovation and experience within the manufacturing and supply chain industry.
Leverage, share and build Menlo's knowledge of worldwide business and industry requirements in the manufacturing and supply chain industry.
Participate in and drive Menlo culture and core values. Including Voice & Values Task Force, Menlo Lean House, and all other strategic initiatives.
Scope and Accountability:
Applies in-depth understanding of engineering to analyze the long-term business impact of new/anticipated strategies; recognized as a technical authority within the business unit. Integrates analysis of engineering objectives and strategic direction to resolve problems. Impacts the business through regularly providing advice or counsel to all areas of mgmt.
Qualification Requirements:
/Knowledge/: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent Bachelors degree in a technical field required. Industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering degree preferred.
/Skills/:
High proficiency withcomputer aided design (AutoCAD)
Strong project management skills.
Excellent oral / written communication skills, experience preparing and presenting oral / written presentations.
Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and general building codes.
Understanding of Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing experience.
Requires excellent computer skills, including spreadsheet and database proficiency.
Ability to deal with complex, short-time frame challenges.
Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS)

/Experience/: 1 - 3 years of direct operations, logistics engineering, consulting, or supply chain startup desired. Education may substitute for years of experience.
