Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or closely related field and four years of _current and progressive experience involving difficult_ programming and systems analysis work and project management experience; or an Associate's degree in Computer Science or closely related field, and five years of related experience as stated above.

Duties and Tasks
Provide first line support for team members and customers for assigned agency applications.
Manage priorities and workload for the assigned customers making sure that adequate resources are available.
Manage assigned staff by planning and assigning work duties, developing and implementing work standards, coaching and mentoring, evaluate and rate employee performance, implementing and monitoring performance management measures, and initiating and carrying out disciplinary measures as required.
Ensure assigned team has the necessary resources for varying software development needs and coordinate resource management efforts with ITD project managers.
Assure that system documentation of supported applications is maintained and current.
Develop and complete reports on status of projects and other requests; report incidents upward to customers, end users, and ITD management team.
Provide guidance to project leaders and developers for completing cost estimates, analyzing and designing systems and program enhancements.
Research issues encountered in the software development area; collaborate with other divisions of ITD to resolve problems and coordinate or develop alternative problem resolutions; determine appropriate resolution involving projects and teams or make recommendations involving problems of broader issues as well as complex system issues.
Conduct staff meetings to communicate pertinent information from management, internal ITD policies as well as problems and resolutions related to specific technical work issues.
Attend and provide input to monthly status meetings with ITD Director of Software Development, ITD Software Development Manager, and Customer management team.
Summary of Work
Work involves the coordination of major systems analysis and development projects for state agencies and addressing situations or problems with automated solutions. This is completed through the direct involvement with end users and by providing leadership and guidance to a team of developers. Work also involves the planning and coordination of team work assignments. Successful candidate must have strong administrative practices; excellent oral and written communication skills; as well as exceptional project and time management skills.
