This position will work in project teams. The web applications utilize a variety of computing platforms and technology. These include Windows and Unix environments. Applications could include PHP, PowerBuilder, SharePoint or .NET technologies. The Web Solutions Architect II is responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of specific modules of web-based applications. This position will work in project teams, with customers and staff. The web applications utilize a variety of computing platforms and technology. These include Windows and Unix environments. Applications could include PHP, PowerBuilder, SharePoint or .NET technologies. The Web Solutions Architect III is responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of specific web-based applications. This position will lead project teams, with customers and staff. The web applications utilize a variety of computing platforms and technology. These include Windows and Unix environments. Applications could include PHP, PowerBuilder, SharePoint or .NET technologies. This position works under minimal direction and is responsible to recommend technical strategies. Required Skills This position requires frequent sitting, standing, bending, lifting up to 10 pounds; and use of keyboard/computer; and occasional walking. This position requires finger dexterity, good hearing and color vision, the ability to perform close work, and the ability to speak. Must be able to analyze data and reports; conduct research; implement recommendations; direct others; develop plans, procedures and goals; present information to others; and work under stress to complete projects. This position occasionally works in conditions of dirt and dust, fumes, chemicals, extreme heat and cold, vibration, and noise. This position may be required to operate a motor vehicle or fly in Cooperative or commercial aircraft. Required Experience Required: An associate's degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering or related field And two years of experience in development of PHP, .NET, VBScript, or Java applications with SQL or Oracle databases or four years of experience in development of PHP, .NET, VBScript, or Java applications with SQL or Oracle databases. Conceptual knowledge of application development and application lifecycles, web development and implementation of applications; knowledge of PHP, Javascript, jQuery, .NET or PowerBuilder and Structured Query Language (SQL), CSS, HTML and XML, interface usability, and relational database concepts; understanding of Web Services and API development using REST or SOAP. Ability to use a keyboard and computer; have good color vision, good hearing and finger dexterity; and the ability to perform close-up work as is customary working on a computer 90% of the time. Must be able to conduct research, assist in implementation of recommendations, analyze data and reports, assist in development of plans for projects, communicate clearly in writing and in speech, work under stress to complete projects, and be adaptable and able to pick up new techniques. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to manage time and provide estimates of time required to accomplish work. Travel by automobile, or fly in the Cooperative plane or commercial aircraft is required 10% of the time or less. Preferred: IIS experience, experience with applications using SQL Server or Oracle Databases; proficiency in Microsoft Access.
