Job Description
The Electrical Engineer I is responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating engineering work for small projects, and to assist experienced electrical engineers with larger more complex projects in a safe and reliable manner. This position evaluates, selects, and applies standard electrical engineering principles to meet the generation and transmission needs of the cooperative in accordance with the cooperative's policies and procedures, industry standards, guidelines and regulations governing the cooperative's facilities. This position is identified as a Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) related position which may allow physicall and/or logical access to Bulk Electric System (BES) cyber related assets or systems. This position may allow access to privileged information relating to such assets or systems. This position will be required to strictly adhere to all Basin Electric policies, procedures, and porgrams applicable to the Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) requirements.
Required Skills
Requires frequent sitting; and occasional standing, walking, bending, climbing, kneeling, reaching, crawling, use of keyboard/computer, pushing/pulling and lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds. Requires finger dexterity, good hearing, color vision, and the ability to perform close work. Requires the ability to analyze data/reports and conduct research; implement recommendations; develop plans, procedures, and goals; and present information to others. May be required to work under pressure due to conflicting priorities and deadlines. Occasionally works in conditions of dirt/dust, fumes, chemicals, extreme heat and cold, vibration, noise, poor ventilation, electrical risks, and confined areas. Travel is required, either by operating a motor vehicle or traveling in Cooperative or commercial aircraft. Equipment operated includes computers, telecommunication devices, electrical test equipment, and normal shop tools.
Required Experience
Requires a Bachelor s Degree from an EAC/ABET accredited electrical or computer engineering program; computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Travel may include up to 25%25%20of the time by car, cooperative plane, or commercial aircraft. An EIT certificate and networking skills are preferred.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
