Job Description
Under the guidance of the supervisor and other staff engineers, the Gas Turbine Engineer II evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques to minor adaptations and modification of engineering projects. These assignments are designed to further challenge and develop professional work knowledge and ability. The incumbent assists with ensuring efficient, reliable, and economical performance of individual systems and/or equipment by troubleshooting problems and recommending or evaluating appropriate solutions. This position coordinates the design and performane efforts within the Engineering Services Section in respect to the gas turbine fleet. In addition the incumbent works towards standardizing maintenance and performance efforts for the gas turbine fleet.
Required Skills
This position requires frequent standing and sitting; and occasional walking, bending, climbing, kneeling, reaching, crawling, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 pounds. This position requires use of keyboard/computer. Boiler wall inspection is performed on a floating scaffolding suspended at heights up to 250 feet. The incumbent is also occasionally required to work in confined areas. This position requires good finger dexterity, and good hearing and vision. The incumbent may occasionally be exposed to extreme heat and cold, dirt, fumes, chemicals, vibration, and noise. Tools/equipment used include floating pick scaffolding, vibration testing equipment, velocity measuring probes, electronic thickness testers, slag hammer, computer equipment, and surveying equipment. The incumbent must be able to analyze data and reports, conduct research, implement recommendations, coordinate projects, develop plans, present information to others, and work under pressure to complete assignments. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle. Must be respirator qualified.
Required Experience
Required: A Bachelor's Degree from and EAC/ABET accredited mechanical engineering program with three years of related experience in gas turbine maintenance, operation or design setting. An Engineering-in-Training (EIT) certificate; technical knowledge of mechanical engineering. Design and working knowledge of gas turbine technology, including field related engineering exposure. A Gas Turbine Engineering background; good oral and technical writing skills, organizational, and communication skills. Basic computer skills such as word processing, spreadsheets and database software. Ability to troubleshoot, and evaluated issues that arise with the gas turbine fleet, and the ability to respond to continually changing priorities. A valid driver's license and 50%25%20time travel in the field with the remainder in an office setting.
Preferred: Working knowledge of power plant equipment and thermodynamic cycles. Knowledge of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Mechanical 3D.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
