Job Description
This is a temporary position that will provide introductory drafting services for the applicable discipline of design engineering needed to meet the future power generation, gas production, fuel supply and power transmission needs of the Cooperative.
The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure drawings are accurate and up-to-date by revising as built drawings as marked. Provide introductory levels of engineering details for projects that require some computations. Provide print and scan services as needed.
Required Skills
This position requires continuous sitting and use of keyboard/computer; and occasional standing, walking, bending, climbing, kneeling, reaching, crawling, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires good finger dexterity, ability to perform close work, and good color vision. May occasionally be exposed to heat, cold, dirt, dust, fumes, noise, and poor ventilation when working in field conditions. May also require working in high climbing areas on grating, ladders, or areas requiring use of safety equipment; and may involve work in confined spaces to inspect and measure boilers, tanks, air ducts, etc. Equipment operated includes personal computer, plotter, and copier machines.
Required Experience
Student in Drafting and Estimating Technology/Cad Technology
Must be at least 18 years of age
Completion of freshman year in the drafting and Estimating Technology curriculum
Familiarity with symbology and drafting techniques in Engineering and Architecture
Spatial knowledge normally used in geographic mapping and scaled drawings
Basic mathematic skills
Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and AutoCAD

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
