Associate Financial Advisor (AFA)

The Associate Financial Advisor (AFA) participates in the Wells Fargo Advisors financial advisor training program on a full-time basis and will be partnered with a Senior Financial Advisor. Qualified candidates will enter a comprehensive development and apprenticeship period offering a structured and supportive program designed to reward individual and team contribution while meeting personal, professional, and organizational client service and financial goals.
The Associate Financial Advisor will be fully trained and supported with the tools, resources, and coaching to serve as an apprentice to a Senior Financial Advisor while providing clients with financial advice consistent with client's goals and risk tolerance. The AFA will be tasked to meet with clients, collect financial information, assess investment profile and evaluate client financial needs while providing enhanced service to deepen the relationship. The AFA will work to retain and increase existing client accounts (through developing financial plans and other needs-based solutions) and cultivate new clients over time. The AFA will gain more responsibility as experience increases and will transition from client service to relationship management and ownership. This person must pass the Series 7 exam, the Series 66 (or combined 63 and 65), complete online training, participate in classroom training, pass Compliance exams on products and suitability, and complete the activity requirements of the program.
The level 1 Associate Financial Advisor will be responsible for:
Integrating with the team, supported by training, coaching and the manager, by discussing and understanding the roles of immediate team members, developing knowledge of company support functions, and implementing basic practice management skills, such as goal setting and time management.
Analyzing a portion of an existing book of business using the production system and other tools in order to uncover opportunities or identify basic solutions for client portfolios.
Identifying opportunities within an existing book of business, producing detailed recommendations within limited product areas and solution sets, and developing ideas for new client acquisition congruent with existing book of business.
Using financial planning process and tools to update existing long-term client investment plans.
Managing client engagements and acting on sales opportunities using a script for pre-defined products.
Basic Qualifications

years of sales, service, and/or relationship-building experience or 6
months business experience in financial services or BA/BS Degree or 3
years military experience
Effective January 1, 2014, persons in this position must meet the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau loan originator qualification requirements and must comply with Wells Fargo policies related to these requirements. The loan originator qualification requirements include meeting applicable financial responsibility, character, credit fitness and criminal background standards. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Minimum of 1 year working in a team based environment either in a work or college environment
or
Minimum of 1 year involvement in a community based organization

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
