UMB's mortgage team was established in 2016, when the decision to bring the mortgage product back in-house.
UMB's mortgage team has a wealth of knowledge due to it being comprised of many associates who have been in the mortgage field for 10 or more years.
UMB's mortgage team has a sales team and an operational team.
Within the operational team there is a Mortgage Underwriter Apprentice.
The Mortgage Underwriter Apprentice will work closely with all underwriters and will report directly to the Mortgage Underwriting Manager.
This newly created position will coordinate the appraisal review process with internal partners, manage the underwriting mailbox and assist to clear prior to closing conditions.
This successful candidate has the opportunity to learn on the job and prepare to become a future mortgage underwriter.

_How you'll spend your time:
_
Entering appraisal data into Etrac and monitor appraisal review by internal partners.
Managing the department mailbox to assure all requests are handled timely.
Assisting in reviewing and clearing prior to closing conditions to expedite underwriting turn times.
Partnering with department associates to clear post-closing suspense items and quality control findings.
Preparing monthly productivity and quality underwriting reports.
Applying GSE and investor guidelines to analyze, condition or clear file documentation to meet loan salability.
Performing initial file review of credit, income, liabilities and assets to validate loan request conforms to program requirements.
Other duties as assigned.

You have a high school diploma or equivalent.
You have 3 years of relevant mortgage experience.
The pay range for a candidate selected for this position who is based in Colorado is typically $40,950 to $68,250 annually.
The selected candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, including but not limited to work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay for the selected candidate may be above or below this range.
The successful candidate will also be eligible to participate in one or more incentive plans based on company and individual performance.
